Ventrac from Price Turfcare essentially consists of one traction unit, the 18kW (25hp) diesel 4520Y, falling below the horsepower range requiring exhaust after-treatment technology which has added cost to higher horsepower machines in recent years.
With over 30 attachments and accessories, this one power unit becomes extremely versatile for golf courses. Additionally, its ultra-low centre of gravity and light footprint make it unique, enabling 30 degree slope capability and use in wet areas where traditional machines are unable to go.

Hundreds of clients have migrated to Ventrac since its introduction into the UK by Price Turfcare, some replacing traditional fairway, trim, and tractor mounted mowers with this one traction unit, complimenting it with one or more of seven suitable mowers from the range. These consist of reel and rotary finishing mowers, flails, rough rotaries and a boom mower. In addition, when a traditional mower will be idle, the Ventrac can be used for land reclamation, seeding, spraying, trenching, stump grinding and leaf blowing, to name a few.
Recent advocate, Nigel Broardwith at John O’Gaunt GC in Bedfordshire commented that “It has replaced a traditional five deck contour mower” along with a rough cut deck for brambles and other tough areas.
