From greens to fairways.

Tru‑Turf began 2026 with a busy calendar.
Following strong conversations at BTME in Harrogate and the GCSAA Conference and Trade Show in Orlando, it was a pleasure to reconnect with greenkeepers, superintendents, dealers and industry partners from across the turf world. For Tru-Turf, these events were an opportunity to listen, learn and share a more complete view of what modern rolling can look like: a carefully developed range designed around different turf needs, operating styles and course priorities.
The biggest story is the expanding lineup. Leading that conversation is Brumby, Tru-Turf’s heavy-duty roller, developed for golf courses and sports turf venues wanting greater versatility across greens, approaches, tees and beyond. Built around Tru-Turf’s offset smoothing rollers, Brumby brings the brand’s signature smoothness and trueness into a multipurpose format while still focusing on even finish and solving turf care problems.
Alongside Brumby is the RE48, Tru-Turf’s lightweight electric counterpart to the RB48. With a 48-inch swath, Tru-Turf’s offset smoothing rollers, quiet electric drive and Trojan’s OnePack™ lithium battery — offering clean, efficient operation with the same focus on turf quality, ease of control and reduced ground pressure.
Tru-Turf also put the spotlight on two more additions to its evolving range: Taipan, introduced as a fairway roller, and the new Commercial 40-inch walk-behind roller, presented as a walking-speed machine with triple-roller smoothing precision, a 40-inch swath and ultra-low ground pressure. While these newer machines are still emerging publicly, together they signal a clearer intention from Tru-Turf: to offer a curated range that meets customers’ needs as we see them roll more and mow less.
This broader range sits within a bigger philosophy: ‘sustainable rolling perfection’. For Tru-Turf, rolling is not simply about speed. It is about consistency of smoothness and trueness, achieved through Tru-Turf’s offset smoothing technology refined over more than 35 years. Tru-Turf’s three-roller assembly progressively smooths away imperfections such as footprints, tyre marks and corrugations, while maintaining low ground pressure compared with market alternatives. With more than 80 dealers worldwide, Tru-Turf continues to strengthen its global reach.

The agronomic case continues to strengthen too. Industry research and customer feedback point to benefits extending well beyond green speed, including disease suppression, reduced mowing pressure and improved resource efficiency. This practical reality is echoed by sustainability advocate Paul Larsen, who consults at Lydd Golf Club and other venues in the UK. He said he had mowed only once in 2026 and reported extraordinary results from rolling more and mowing less, including periods of going three or even four days without cutting. “Roll baby roll for a fescue heaven”, Paul wrote on social media. Paul is also trialling our Commercial 40-inch roller at several bowling clubs in his area as a sustainable way to introduce rolling at clubs with limited budgets.
For those who visited Tru-Turf at BTME or GCSAA, thank you. And for those who could not make it, this year’s message is simple: the range is growing, the thinking is deepening, and the goal remains the same — helping turf professionals achieve smoother, truer, healthier surfaces through sustainable rolling.
