With reduced maintenance, great manoeuvrability and presentation that impresses, the Snake S3 is winning over greenkeepers across the UK.
Building on the success of the Trimax Snake S2, the new Trimax Snake S3 delivers practical changes to make operations even more efficient for golf course managers and greenkeepers, reducing the cost of ownership and allowing operators to focus on what matters most – mowing.
So what’s new about the Trimax Snake S3?
It requires zero daily maintenance.
• A standout feature of the Snake S3 is the introduction of the Titan roller bearing system, a sealed, dual-bearing unit that requires no regular greasing
• Sealed automotive-style wheel bearings have replaced older setups, ensuring robust performance without daily maintenance
• The inbound end outrigger arm bushes have also been swapped for non-greaseable alternatives, dramatically reducing the overall number of grease points on the machine

It features durable parts that are easy to replace.
• The rear flap has been redesigned using segmented panels. This means cleaner clipping discharge and, if something gets damaged, you only need to replace the affected segment, not the whole flap
• We’ve made the blade beam and spindle separate components. So, if you strike an obstacle, the damage is limited and easily fixed — saving you from a costly full-spindle replacement
• You can now safely stand on the aluminium belt covers when servicing the mower. They’re strong, stable, and make it easier to access those hard-to-reach spots
It’s easy to set up and wash down.
• A built-in PTO holder means one person can now attach or detach the PTO shaft without help
• A new hose holder provides a secure place to store the hydraulic hoses when the mower is unhooked, preventing wear and keeping your setup tidy
• Height adjustment is now a breeze thanks to a collar added to the adjuster bolt
• You now wind the deck up or down manually for precise control, rather than relying on gravity to do the job
• Wash ports have been added to all three decks, giving you a quick way to flush out grass buildup under the belt covers using low-pressure water or air

Together, these improvements make the Trimax Snake S3 smarter, more user-friendly and better suited to the realities of everyday operation.
Morley Hayes, Derbyshire, is a renowned golf venue, nestled in stunning parkland. Earlier this year, they took ownership of Snake S3 320.
Here’s what head greenkeeper, Alex Roberts, had to say about the machine: “One of the major benefits of the Snake S3 for us is in relation to machine maintenance. With previous mowers, we were spending a lot of time greasing and adjusting belts, but now it’s just 40 minutes a week — greasing the PTO shaft and the pivots.
Everything else is practically self-sufficient, from the sealed rollers to the automatic belt tensioning. That’s a massive time saver for the team.
“The manoeuvrability is also outstanding. Morley Hayes is a heavily tree-lined course, so we needed a machine that could navigate tight spaces. The Snake S3 handles that with ease — especially with the Multi-Lift System, which lets us lift a deck and narrow the width down to about a metre. We used to rely on a zero turn for those areas, but now we can get in and out, no problem. It’s made a huge difference to how we maintain the course.
“Another benefit is the course presentation. The cut quality is the best I’ve seen in my four years here!”
