Kubota’s ZE Electric Zero-Turn range is winning over operators seeking to lower their environmental impact while maintaining high productivity and cut quality. The ZE-421 and ZE-481 fully-electric mowers are proving that sustainability doesn’t mean compromising turfcare standards, with additional benefits in comfort and reduced operator fatigue.

By eliminating the internal combustion engine, these mowers produce no CO₂ or particulate emissions during operation—aligning perfectly with UK air quality targets and net-zero commitments from local authorities and green space professionals. The machines are powered by a 48V, 10kWh lithium-ion battery, delivering up to 15,000m² of coverage per charge.

To optimise performance in different conditions, operators can choose from Eco, Standard, or Boost modes. Two transport speeds are available, and when the battery is depleted, it can be easily removed and replaced in just a few minutes.

A key innovation is the K-Sense auto-adjustment system, which continuously monitors deck load and automatically adjusts mowing and travel speed to ensure consistent cut quality across varying grass densities and types.

Designed for professional contractors and landscapers, the ZE-421 and ZE-481 are equipped with 42” and 48” side-discharge decks, respectively. An optional mulching kit further extends their versatility. Quiet operation, reduced vibration, and features like an adjustable seat and ergonomic deck controls all contribute to a smoother, more comfortable user experience.

Maintenance demands are also significantly reduced. With no engine oil, spark plugs, fuel filters or exhaust systems to service, routine upkeep is limited to basic checks such as blade sharpening, tyre inspection, and occasional battery monitoring.
