Headfort Golf Club in Ireland has completed an extensive bunker redevelopment programme on the Old Course and opened a brand-new practice facility.

The redesign includes the introduction of new bunkers, reshaping of existing hazards, and improved drainage systems, ensuring year-round consistency and enhanced course conditions. The project carefully balances modern design standards with the classic character of the Old Course, preserving its heritage while elevating the overall playing experience.

In addition to the course enhancements, the club has also unveiled its new practice facility, marking a historic milestone. For the first time, members and visitors can enjoy a dedicated space designed to support golfers of all levels. The facility provides the ideal environment to warm up before a round, refine technique, and work on all aspects of the game.

David Reilly, general manager of Headfort Golf Club, said: “We are delighted to open our new driving range. It represents a significant investment in the future of the club and provides a fantastic new amenity for both members and visitors alike.”

Together, these developments represent a major investment in the club’s facilities and reaffirm Headfort’s commitment to continuous improvement and excellence.
