Carnoustie Golf Links (CGL) has released a short video series that takes viewers behind the scenes with the team that looks after its courses.
The Greenkeepers follows the team’s work through the year and shows how modern, sustainable methods are being used alongside traditional knowledge handed down over generations.
Viewers will meet members of the team and see the range of jobs involved in preparing and protecting the courses. These include turf management, water use, biodiversity, machinery and course preparation, as well as the challenges of a changing climate.
The series also highlights CGL’s commitment to developing the next generation of greenkeepers, and shows the training and career opportunities the profession offers.
Gill Rourke Andrews, Greenkeeping Operations Lead at Carnoustie Golf Links, said: “When people come to Carnoustie, they see the finished product: the Links, the conditions and the challenge that makes it Golf’s Greatest Test. What they don’t always see is the incredible amount of knowledge, skill and hard work that goes into maintaining it every single day.
“The Greenkeepers gives us an opportunity to introduce the people behind that work and show how we are combining traditional greenkeeping expertise with sustainable practices and new approaches.
“Just as importantly, we want to demonstrate that greenkeeping is a skilled and rewarding career, and that investing in the next generation is fundamental to the future of Carnoustie.

“Looking after these courses is about protecting what makes Carnoustie special while ensuring it can continue to be enjoyed for generations to come.”
