SALTEX: Headland Amenity to showcase Bayer’s products

The co-operation between Headland Amenity and Bayer Cropscience continues at SALTEX 2017. Following the launch of Exteris Stressgard at BTME, visitors to Headland’s new stand, D022, will be able to find out more about Bayer’s Dedicate turf fungicide. This revolutionary product slots in with the Headland range of innovative turf nutrition, health and management products.

Dedicate is an established contact and systemic fungicide offering preventative and early curative control of turf diseases. Of particular interest to groundsmen is Dedicate’s ability to control leaf spot (Helminthosporium spp.) and rust (Puccina spp.) in sports turf. It contains dual active ingredients, tebuconazole and trifloxystrobin and should be used preventatively or as early as possible when signs of disease occur. As well as sports turf, Dedicate is approved for use on all turf areas including commercial and residential lawns, golf greens, tees and fairways, parks, bowling greens and cricket pitches. This low-dose, rapid-acting formula is available exclusively from Headland Amenity.

A great tank mix partner to Dedicate, or other fungicide applications, are plant elicitors such as Headland’s TeMag Elite. Launched at Saltex 2016, TeMag Elite is a water-soluble iron and micronutrient package, ideal for strengthening turf over the autumn and winter periods. It contains Headland’s Elevate Fe and, in trials, has shown to minimise the effect of turf pathogens such as Microdochium nivale (fusarium patch) and Sclerotonia homeocarpa (dollar spot).

TeMag Elite also contains Harpin Protein, a plant elicitor, which stimulates the plants natural defence mechanisms, aiding growth through periods of stress, disease and / or nematode damage.

In addition to many currently available fungicides, it is also fully tank mixable with most liquid and water-soluble fertilisers, biostimulants and pesticides.
