£2 nose filters are being marketed to golfers and greenkeepers to save them from hayfever misery.
British hayfever sufferers could see their symptoms disappear with the use of a revolutionary new nose filter worn inside the nostrils, says a spokeswoman.
Discrete O2 Nose Filters are tiny devices which sit inside the nose. Tests have shown they are 90 to 100 per cent efficient at capturing pollen particles.
Unlike many hayfever medicines, which simply treat the symptoms, the filters can stop the allergy before it starts, meaning no more runny noses, itchy eyes and sneezing, she added.
They are also drug-free, making them suitable for everyone – including pregnant women, asthmatics and those taking other prescription medicines.
This means no unwanted side effects such as the drowsiness that can occur with some antihistamines.
Hayfever affects around a third of UK adults and up to 40 per cent of children, according to Allergy UK.
